Hi, I'm Breno, the creator and maintainer of ChipVERSUS.
I built this site to make PC hardware performance easier to understand. Choosing parts for a build should not mean jumping between ten tabs, half-finished benchmark charts, and vague recommendations. Whether you're building your first gaming PC or upgrading a system you already have, the goal here is to help you get to a clearer answer faster.
My Mission
The mission of ChipVERSUS is simple: make PC hardware comparisons more useful and less confusing.
A lot of hardware sites give you a wall of numbers and leave the hard part to you. I wanted ChipVERSUS to be more practical than that. The point is not just to show specs or benchmark figures, but to help you understand what those numbers mean when you are actually deciding what to buy.
How I Work
Transparency matters here. The estimates on ChipVERSUS are not random guesses or filler numbers.
- Data collection: I gather real-world benchmark data mainly from detailed YouTube gameplay tests and user submissions.
- Analysis: I look at how hardware specs such as CUDA cores, clock speeds, and cache sizes relate to known performance results, then use that to estimate untested combinations more realistically.
- Validation: I keep checking those estimates against actual gameplay footage and independent reviews. In a lot of cases the estimates land close, but not always within a fixed 10% range. Some games line up very well, and some can drift more depending on the patch, driver version, settings, and test setup behind the source footage.

ChipVERSUS pulls together performance data from thousands of hardware combinations to answer a few straightforward questions:
- Accurate FPS estimates: I estimate gaming performance across different resolutions and settings.
- Clear CPU and GPU comparisons: I break parts down side by side so you can see real differences in performance and value.
- Bottleneck analysis: I help you figure out whether your CPU or GPU is holding your system back.
